Every morning, I get up at 5:45 A.M, wait for the bus, and take the red line to get to my high school - Uplift Community High School in Uptown. I get off at the Wilson stop, an area known for fights, violence and shootings. I used to ask myself - why do I still put up with this? Adults like to remember their teen years as easy, fun and stress-free. But is that really true? Do most adults really remember what it's like to try to figure out school, home, work, friends and love for the first time? Well, I just read an article about healthy eating and saw how adults might actually think that all teens are vain. Shocking, I know. Anyway, the article advised parents to tell their teens the kind of stuff they’d tell younger kids like: if they drink lots of milk, they could be as tall as giants. Then, as teenagers, they’d say if we get lots of iron in our diets then we’ll ace our physics...

Just like many TV shows, you'll notice that the brainless head cheerleader and the half-Neanderthal quarterback are treated like heroes in high school. They're more like undercover dictators of the student body. I mean they really control the entire social aspect of high school.
Usually, they think that since they can get anything they want they find that everyone under them...
