Sometimes high school makes you want to scream

Okay students, it’s time for auditions in the role of “shrill girl screamer.” High school can sometimes make you want to scream like Esther in this video from the movie “Orphan.” (It’s probably one of the scariest movies EVER!) Even though screaming feels like the best idea when you get stressed out, it isn’t always enough. Just check out freaky Esther in this movie clip, and yes she got the part for best shrill girl scream!

Stress is one of the hardest parts about high school, and the best way to beat it is through what other people call obsessions and what I call a hobby. When the stress or the pressure starts to build, distract yourself from it by finding something that makes you calm and feel secure. Now, if it takes the help of an embarrassing stuffed animal or an embarrassing picture that makes you laugh then so be it! However, it’s not my fault if your friends catch you with it and they tease you about it for awhile. It’s your very own stress release outlet that every high school student needs.

Stress tips
  • Always have something with you to calm you down when life starts to get the best of you and starts to spin. (I usually keep a book I’m familiar with or a new fantasy book that I haven’t read)
  • Also, don’t ever be afraid to confide in your friends or counselor during lunch or after school. They aren’t going to tell anyone, so it’s very safe.
  • Never let homework stress you because once you turn it in and you do your best it really doesn’t matter.
Now, I think that’s enough tips to last you for a couple years. So until next time, remember that these stress solutions are (at least I hope!!) non-hazardous to humans, animals, and plants.
