Posted On: September 19, 2007Originally published as part of the January, 2004 Issue After Democrats redrew the state legislative districts in 2001, the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus was formed, eventually enlisting 13 members. Although most represent Chicago districts, the first Latino outside Cook County was elected to the legislature in 2002.
