Posted On: September 5, 2007Originally published as part of the May, 2003 Issue Between 1980 and 2000, the population of Belmont Cragin shifted from 90 percent white to 65 percent Latino. The changes occurred most rapidly in the area’s southeast corner, where in 2000 more than three of every four residents were Hispanic.
