Out of Prison, Out of Work
Posted On: September 10, 2007Originally published as part of the November, 2003 Issue Ex-offenders on parole in Cook County are less likely to find jobs than their counterparts throughout the rest of Illinois. However, the employment rate of parolees has fallen statewide in each of the past two years. And the percentage of working parolees with full-time jobs has dropped each year since fiscal year 2000.
