Going to Court Yields Few Evictions

In 1997, the Chicago Public Housing Authority filed 2,472 eviction cases against tenants in the 27 family housing developments in Chicago. The number of cases filed varied from one in the Gov. Frank Lowden Homes to 520 at the Robert Taylor Homes. Only 459 families were actually evicted. For more details read "CHA Families Exit As Eviction Threat Grows."
