Marie Lynn Toussaint, 52, has centered her life and work on serving marginalized people. In addition to serving as a Cook County assistant public defender for the past 20 years, she advocates for Haitians in Haiti and the Chicago area as chairperson of the Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti.
