A near-perfect score?

Across the board, students this year had to post higher admissions scores—based on grades, state test scores and the selective enrollment exam—to win a spot in a selective enrollment high school.

Notes: Scores are on a 0-900 scale. “By rank” is the score needed for a student to be admitted based solely on admissions score. Tiers are based on six socio-economic characteristics, including income and educational attainment of people living in the census tract. Tier 1 is the lowest, Tier 4 is the highest.
